Galma M. Boru, EBS, non-resident ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the Philippines, and Jackson Nyagaka Onkoba, Kenyan deputy head of mission, paid a courtesy call to UP Diliman (UPD) Chancellor Edgardo Carlo L. Vistan II on Jan. 16 at the UP Board of Regents Room.

Boru and Onkoba, accompanied by Godfrey Okumu, a Kenyan lecturer at the College of Human Kinetics, had an exploratory discussion with Vistan and expressed the Kenya government’s interest for a possible academic and cultural collaboration with UPD.

Also present at the meeting were Ma. Joy V. Abrenica, dean of the UPD School of Economics; Shirley V. Guevara, dean of the UPD College of Home Economics; Maria Criselda G. Badilla, PhD of the UPD Asian Institute of Tourism; Eric Augustus Tingatinga, associate dean for alumni of the UPD College of Engineering; Carlene Perpetua Pilar-Arceo, director of the UPD Office for International Linakges; and Monica Fides Amada W. Santos, director of the UPD Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts.
