National ID Card Appointment Booking
Passport & Citizenship
Walk-in services are not available.
To optimize service delivery and ensure strict compliance with biometric verification protocols, all National Identity Card services—including first-time registration, replacements, and data updates—are processed strictly by appointment.
Booking and Attendance Procedure
Verify Eligibility and Documents
- Review the dynamic checklist for your specific ID category (First-Time or Replacement). Ensure all required original documents, copies, and photographs are fully prepared before scheduling.
Schedule Your Appointment
- Access the Consular Appointment Scheduling System on this portal. Select "National ID Card Services," choose an available date and time slot, and input your primary contact information.
Print the Confirmation Slip
- Upon successful submission, download and print your Appointment Confirmation Slip. This document must be presented to security upon entry to the consular premises.
Biometric Enrollment
- Arrive at the Consular Section exactly 15 minutes prior to your slot. A consular officer will review your physical documents and manually capture your ink or digital fingerprints on official NRB registry cards.
Strict Terms of Attendance
- Mandatory Physical Presence: Applications cannot be processed via mail, proxy, or online upload. The applicant must appear in person for biometric authentication.
- Punctuality Rule: Late arrivals exceeding 15 minutes will automatically forfeit their scheduled time slot, requiring the applicant to book a new appointment online.
- Cancellation Policy: To reschedule or cancel your slot, please utilize the link provided in your confirmation email at least 48 hours before your scheduled visit.
Notice: National ID scheduling is entirely separate from ePassport booking. If you require both services, you must reserve two individual time slots to allow for separate processing workflows.
