Report the Demise to the Consulate

• The Next of Kin or the deceased’s employer must notify the Consulate immediately. Provide the deceased's full legal bio-data, location, and the telephone numbers of at least three (3) family members who will receive the remains at the port of entry in Kenya.

Engage a Licensed Funeral Home

• Retain an accredited local funeral director experienced in international transport. The funeral home will manage local hospital releases, process the municipal transit clearances, complete the embalming or cremation, and secure an air cargo booking.

Submit Document Packet for No Objection

• Transmit high-resolution scans of the complete requirements checklist to the Consulate. There is no statutory fee charged by the Kenyan government for processing this emergency consular service.

Port of Entry Flight Tracking

• Upon verification, the Consulate will issue the No Objection Certificate directly to the funeral home or family via secure email or courier. The funeral director will attach this document to the official Air Waybill.
